Research overview

Retatrutide is a single-peptide triple agonist engineered to activate the GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. It remains an investigational compound in late-stage clinical development and is of particular interest for research on the contribution of glucagon-receptor activity to energy expenditure.

Supplied as a research reference standard for receptor pharmacology and metabolic-model work. Not for human or veterinary use.

Areas of published research

  • Triple-agonist receptor pharmacology
  • Energy expenditure and thermogenesis models
  • Hepatic fat and lipid-handling studies
  • Comparative incretin signaling

The list above summarises where this compound appears in the scientific literature. It describes research activity, not properties or effects of any product sold here.

Storage and handling

  • Lyophilized vials: store at −20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C for up to several weeks. Keep sealed and protected from light.
  • Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so moisture does not condense on the cold powder.
  • After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8 °C and use within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
  • Add diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently; do not shake.

Documentation

Each lot is tested by an independent laboratory for purity (RP-HPLC) and identity (mass spectrometry). The certificate of analysis for your lot ships with the order; copies for any lot can be requested through the contact page with the lot number from the vial label.
