Research overview

AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal fragment (residues 176–191) of human growth hormone with an added N-terminal tyrosine. The disulfide-bridged fragment was developed to retain the lipolytic region of hGH without the growth-promoting or insulin-related activity of the full hormone.

It has been studied in rodent adiposity models and in-vitro adipocyte assays. Supplied as a research reference material only.

Areas of published research

  • Adipocyte lipolysis and lipogenesis assays
  • Lipid metabolism in rodent models

Storage and handling

  • Lyophilized vials: store at −20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C for up to several weeks. Keep sealed and protected from light.
  • Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so moisture does not condense on the cold powder.
  • After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8 °C and use within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
  • Add diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently; do not shake.

Documentation

Each lot is tested by an independent laboratory for purity (RP-HPLC) and identity (mass spectrometry). The certificate of analysis for your lot ships with the order; copies for any lot can be requested through the contact page with the lot number from the vial label.
