Reconstitution calculator
Work out the concentration of a reconstituted vial and the volume to draw for a given amount. Values update as you type. The calculator assumes a U-100 insulin-type syringe, where 100 units equals 1 mL.

Notes on using the calculator
- Concentration is based on the labeled peptide mass. Lyophilized vials usually contain slightly more gross weight than the label states because of counter-ions and residual water; the labeled mass is the net peptide content the analysis was run against.
- Draws below about 2 units are hard to measure reproducibly on a standard syringe. If the calculator shows a very small draw, add more diluent and recalculate.
- If the draw exceeds the syringe capacity, choose a larger syringe or use less diluent.
- Label every reconstituted vial with the concentration and the date. With bacteriostatic water, discard after 28 days at 2–8 °C.
- This tool performs unit conversions for laboratory preparation. It does not provide, and nothing on this site constitutes, guidance for administering any substance to humans or animals.
