Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) extended with Pro-Gly-Pro. It has been studied in rodent behavioral models for anxiolytic-like effects, in GABA-receptor modulation assays and for effects on cytokine expression.

Storage and handling

  • Lyophilized vials: store at −20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C for up to several weeks. Keep sealed and protected from light.
  • Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so moisture does not condense on the cold powder.
  • After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8 °C and use within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
  • Add diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently; do not shake.
